I often tease a friend of mine with the fact that guys can’t multi task, and that girls are great at it. He doesn’t really like it when I do this, but I do it anyway
Tonight I multi tasked pretty well. I was talking on the phone to my father about a meeting at my school he’d just been too, I im-ed a friend of mine about our project for a boring class, and I played a game which required pretty close attention.
It’s not the most I tasks I ever managed at once, but it was certainly the hardest. I had to concentrate on my game, on my IM-ing and on my conversation!
Have you ever multi tasked that much?
PE, today:
Student (slightly sarcastic) : So, you would have to have this books with you all the time?
Teacher (sarcastic): Yeah, obviously, then when an attacker is coming up to you you can say: Hey! Wait a second *reads something in book* Ah! I remember *punches attacker in the face*
I: Well, you wouldn’t want to do that. You should go: Hey! Wait a second
*reads something in book*
*attacker looks too*
*whacks attacker over the head with the book*
It is after all a self defence book. Defends itself!
I have never had so much fun in PE

… or is it?
I have been a little distracted lately. And not by my homework, I have been playing to many games! I love those games where you run a store by yourself, and you have to make enough money to get to the next level.
It all started with Cake Mania a few months ago. I downloaded it after playing online and I just couldn’t stop, I kept playing to see what was at the end of the level. The end wasn’t as great as I’d hoped, but it was still a great journey.
Only, it didn’t stop there, I soon became addicted to these types of games, and playing Cake Mania again wasn’t an option, the game had become boring!
So on I went to the next game, which was Diner Dash: Flo on the go, I played it happily for a few weeks, but I again got bored, this time half way through, as I found one particular level undoable. My searh went on, and right now some of my favourite games include:
- Fashion Fits
- Dr. Daisy Pet Vet
- Alice Greenfingers
- Wedding Dash
This is why I haven’t been updating
. I have been too busy playing games! Even my homework has suffered.

The eleventh of the eleventh might be remembrance day to the British, but when you mention the Eleventh of November to any Dutch kid it’ll probably go:
CANDY! Or: Sint Maarten, Sint Maarten, de koeien hebben staarten, de meisjes hebben rokjes aan, daar komt Sint Martinus aan.
I think that calling it the Dutch Halloween might be the most precise description to non-Dutch, because it’s something that comes closest.
Sint Maarten is celebrated in honour of Sint Martinus, who was very kind to a homeless guy and shared his coat with him by hacking it into two with his sword.
These days kids don’t get half a coat though, no, as they sing at each door they pass (with a lantern of course) they get candy.
I used to quite like Sint Maarten, it was always a time of loads of chocolate
. I don’t think kids these days know why they walk with their lanterns passed the doors any more though..

A tulip shaped polder.
Yes, you did read that right, a tulip shaped polder. It’s the latest of long line of crazy ideas the new government has been putting before parliament. Really, after Plasterk (Minister of Education, Culture and Science) suggested to get rid of the basic scholarship, so that teachers could get paid more, I thought we’d seen it all.
But, apparently not.
No. The government wants to polder in a piece of the Northsea, in the shape of a tulip, to create more space for Holland. The worst thing is, that that’s not even the worst part of this news. No, they put it before parliament, and so far, they think it’s a good idea.
Really, I thought that islands (polders, who cares) in weird shapes were something for Arabian sheiks with too much money…

Thanks for reassuring me guys
. I now realise that my layout might not contain a lot of graphics, but it’s still good.
I think I figured out what bugs me about this theme. The font. I am going to change it this weekend, and I’m going to make it slightly smaller. (I find that it’s positively HUGE now
)
They say there’s a storm coming up here.. I must remember to stock enough chocolate and chocolate milk. Can’t enjoy a storm without chocolate.

of people who can actually make a website look great… Especially since I lack that essential quality.
Every time I see Tish’s site my eyes almost pop out, Jacky’s new layout, and especially the drawn female on the top make me want to open photoshop and try something, even though it couldn’t be nearly half as good, and don’t get me started on Bobbi-lee…
Maybe I should incorporate a green monster in my next layout…
