When I was younger a TV network in my country aired episodes of Star Trek every Saturday. Star Trek: Voyager, to be precise. At the time it quite sucked me in, even though I knew nothing about it or its backstory as when I started watching the series was already at least midway into its run.

When I started babysitting at the beginning of the year, the guy I babysit for and I discussed quite a bit of our TV preferences, as he has an extensive collection of series and films, and wanted to know if I enjoyed any of them. Somehow we got onto the topic of SciFi and  I mentioned that I liked Battlestar Galactica and Defying Gravity.

A few weeks later, he had Star Trek, and I totally got into watching it again. I watched the first two episodes of Voyager and an episode of Deep Space Nine, and I must say that I’m totally addicted to Voyager again. It has even prompted me to acquire Star Trek: The Original Series, which I also got into.

Needless to say that I am not quite a trekkie, even though my siblings think me crazy.
