Now that I’ve realised I’m probably never gonna write an amazing novel, my blog has become a creative outlet more than ever. As I become older, and hopefully wiser, this blog will become an important part of my life.
Who am I? My name is Emma, I’m seventeen years old, and currently what Americans would call a senior in high-school. A Dutch Grammar School to be precise, and although I am a huge procrastinator, I pride myself in my education.
In the future, well after graduation, I’d like to train as a doctor, or if that fails, (meaning I don’t get into the med school of my choice), I’d like to study Chemistry and become a teacher. Or perhaps do something else entirely, the possibilities are endless!
Personality wise I suppose I am a bit of a loner. I like being on my own, but I do have an amazing set of friends to fall back on, even though I am a bit socially awkward. I’m friendly with a lot of people, but my main group of friends consists of about four amazing people.
I’m also a bit of a klutz: my hand-eye-coordination is practically non-existent, and physical sports don’t really agree with me, apart from cycling (my main form of transport) and horseback riding, something I’ve been doing for over four years now.
Most of my interests are more in the nerdier parts of life: I love reading and writing. As you can read in my introduction, I even thought about writing a book for a while, but I finally gave up on that idea after I realised I like my characters too much to give them flaws, and non-flawed characters are too boring.
